We partner with family farms to bring children face-to-face with the people who grow their food — walking the fields, meeting the chickens, and tasting something just-picked.

Tierra & Tales brings Little Roots Collective to the places where families already gather — farms, farmers markets, parks, and schools across Fairfield County, Connecticut. We're grateful to the growers, market managers, recreation teams, and educators who open their spaces to wonder, stories, and real food. Together, we help children discover that their community is full of people worth knowing.

At farmers markets, children meet growers, hold a beet in their hands, and connect the stories we read to the food on the table — right where it's sold.
Town Parks & Recreation departments host our gentle afternoon afterschool programs — bringing Nature-Based Spanish, Farm-to-Table Storytime, and Mindful Movement to the Recreation Center within your community.
We bring Little Roots to schools as afterschool enrichment or gentle morning lessons — Nature-Based Spanish, Farm-to-Table Storytime, and Mindful Movement woven into the school day. We welcome Montessori, nature-based, alternative, private, and public schools.
If you run a farm, market, town program, or school in Fairfield County, we'd love to explore a pop-up, series, or seasonal collaboration.
